got beads?

As I have mentioned in the past, I tend to go off on tangents.  In all aspects of life.  I don’t know why I am continuously surprised when I behave the same way with my arts and crafts supplies.

I remember the alcohol ink obsession.  I experimented with applying ink to polymer clay in all manner of ways – from simply plopping the drops of ink on the surface to blending the colors into the clay and even using the baked clay as a canvas.

Come to think of it, that wasn’t my first ‘obsessed with this technique’ moment.  The absolute first was mica shift.  I can’t even remember all the mica shift color combinations, all the cuff bracelets and pendants I spent hours producing.

And then the mixed media pendants.  Polymer clay with wire and beads pressed into the surface which then evolved into beautiful chunks of clay with wire and beads dangling about it:

Crochet bracelets anyone????

Which of course leads me to the topic of this post.  I’ve started making beads.  Lots of beads.  As a friend of mine said – I’ve gone to Beadland.

These are lots of fun to make!  I think I’ll make some more….I’m enjoying my stay in Beadland.
